How to Make Potions in 99 Nights in the Forest
Master the art of magical brewing with our comprehensive guide to potion creation and effects.
The Brewing Process
Potion making revolves around dragging specific ingredients into your cauldron. Watch as the liquid dynamically changes color with each addition, providing visual feedback for your brewing experiments.
You can't simply throw any item into the cauldron - you must follow specific recipes using the ingredients displayed above the pot. For example, a basic transformation potion might require 1 Berry, 1 Dripleaf, and 2 Mackerel.
Warning:
Placing incorrect ingredients will cause them to disappear and the cauldron will knock you back. Jumping into the pot will cause damage!
Potion Effects and Results
Once brewed, throwing your potion can trigger a wide variety of effects. From transforming into animals like frogs to spawning valuable coins, the possibilities are both magical and chaotic.
Some effects are purely beneficial, while others might hinder your progress - like attaching a ball and chain to your leg or covering most of your screen with a pumpkin face obstruction!
Fairy Ingredients System
Many essential potion ingredients won't appear naturally in the forest. You'll need to work with the Fairy by giving her flowers to unlock special seed packs for magical plants.
For instance, Dripleaf seeds purchased from the Fairy will start appearing near ponds. Other rare ingredients like Moonflower and Stareweed have specific growing conditions and harvesting requirements.
Pro Tip:
Always check the recipe book next to your cauldron for the latest ingredient combinations and brewing tips!
